Job Title: Care Home Deputy Manager (Nursing) Location: Norfolk Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £55,000 Per Annum Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Care Home Deputy Manager (Nursing) to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to our residents. This role requires strong leadership, clinical skills, and a compassionate approach to resident care. Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Home Manager in the overall management of the care home.- Lead and supervise the nursing and care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of resident care plans.- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, including health and safety and infection control.- Manage staffing levels, rota planning, and recruitment.- Provide clinical guidance and support to the nursing team.- Develop and maintain effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.- Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and supplies.- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for both residents and staff.- Address and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and effectively.- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Skills and Qualifications:- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC pin.- Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a care home setting.- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of elderly care, dementia care, and palliative care.- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.- Knowledge of CQC regulations and standards.- Proficient in the use of care management software and IT systems.- Compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
