Job Opportunity: Risk Manager (QRA Capable)
We have an exciting opportunity for a QRA-capable Risk Manager to join our busy and expanding London-based Infrastructure team, working on a range of high-profile projects across London and the South East of England.
Owing to the complex nature of the works involved, this role will suit a Risk Manager with a background in rail, aviation, water/utilities, highways, or Defence, with proven experience and understanding of risk management processes, based in our London office.
Main Purpose of the Role
Implement or support the implementation of an integrated risk management framework across a major capital program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Facilitating identification, assessment, and prioritization of threats, opportunities, and issues within the sub-programme.
* Maintaining visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling, timely drawdown of risk budget, or retirement of threats/opportunities.
* Using risk data to inform investment planning.
* Assisting with the identification and recording of measurable and specific management responses, and assessing post-mitigation positions.
* Monitoring overall risk exposure and assessing it against the remaining Risk budget.
* Proactively managing the completion of management responses to achieve target positions.
* Working with contractors to assess contractor-held risks and their views on client-held risks impacting them.
* Producing timely risk reports to support effective communication of threat and opportunity status.
* Conducting quantitative risk assessments (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency levels.
* Demonstrating competence with tools such as PRA, @risk, Safran, or similar.
* Familiarity with web-based database tools like ARM, Predict, Tableau.
Qualifications and Capabilities
Candidates should demonstrate:
* Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment skills.
* Understanding of integrated risk management processes on large programs.
* Experience in risk workshop facilitation, threat mitigation, and opportunity exploitation.
* Proficiency in probabilistic modeling (@risk, PRA, P6 or equivalent).
* Proven experience in risk delivery roles on major projects/programmes.
* APM/IRM risk certification (preferred).
* Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
* Degree qualification in a construction-related subject (preferred).
