Job Title: Registered Nurse - Paediatric Outpatient Department
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to join our team as we enter an exciting phase of change. Our clinic provides outpatient care for babies, children, and young people in and around the Burton area, from birth to adolescence.
We work closely with the Paediatric Outpatients at the Royal Derby Hospital, with cross-site rotation being part of this role. The department operates 5 days a week from 0800-1800hrs, and the successful applicant will be expected to work these hours, including rotation to the Paediatric Outpatient Department at Derby. Cross-site working is a key aspect of this role.
Applicants must hold an RSCN or RN Child Branch qualification.
Responsibilities:
* Work as part of a nursing and medical team to provide outpatient care to babies and children.
* Support various clinical specialties, contributing to an effective, efficient, and responsive outpatient service.
* Assist the senior team in the safe, smooth, and efficient running of clinics, supporting the delivery of individual specialties.
* Act as the patient's advocate, maintaining privacy and dignity at all times.
* Provide advice and support to junior staff and learners in delivering high-quality care.
* Manage multiple clinics and develop necessary clinical skills.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a flexible attitude.
* Prioritize workload and liaise confidently with staff from all disciplines.
* Act as shift coordinator in the absence of the sister.
