Optimisation / SEO / Testing Manager
Hybrid - Milton Keynes - Paying up to £55k
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Optimisation and Performance Manager to lead our Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) efforts and elevate our digital performance. You’ll join a talented, data-driven team focused on understanding customer behaviour and improving the online experience through rigorous testing and analysis. This is a senior individual contributor role—no direct line management, but you’ll be the go-to expert guiding the team and shaping our CRO strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the end-to-end CRO testing process: from identifying opportunities to hypothesis creation, test execution, and post-test analysis.
* Lead and maintain a robust testing cadence, ensuring continuous experimentation and learning.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party partners to design, build, and implement A/B and multivariate tests.
* Analyse customer behaviour across digital touchpoints using tools like Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and other CRO platforms (e.g. Optimizely, VWO, AB Tasty).
* Ensure statistical rigour in testing—achieving 95% confidence levels and clearly articulating the business impact of each test (e.g. uplift in sales, revenue, engagement).
* Champion a data-informed culture, challenging assumptions and guiding junior team members in best practices.
* Translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in Conversion Rate Optimisation, ideally in high-traffic environments.
* Strong understanding of CX behaviour, user testing, and data analysis.
* Hands-on experience with A/B testing tools (Adobe Target preferred, but open to others).
* Ability to interpret statistical significance and confidently report on test outcomes.
* Comfortable working with varied skill sets and guiding junior analysts.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience working with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams.
