Overview
The role reports directly to the Managing Director and works closely with the senior management team. You will evolve this role to its full capability, with a primary focus on attracting new business and managing existing accounts by cross-selling a range of brands and showcasing new product development. You will have exclusivity in your own territory calling on independent retailers. You will manage your own diary and report KPIs.
Responsibilities
* Managing an existing client portfolio, visiting clients, maintaining trading relationships and pursuing new opportunities
* Promoting brands and, where required, taking transfer orders direct to the business for next-day delivery
* Keeping informed on latest food trends and consumer behaviours, actively engaging with the market
* Representing the company to the highest standards at all times
* Collaborating with the Sales Director to establish best practice and evolution
The Person
* Engage with the existing account base and grow trading relationships while seeking new opportunities
* Opportunities span the broad FMCG and independent retail landscape
* Energetic, determined, driven and hungry for success with a passion for snacking, confectionery and food
* Existing experience in a similar role is ideal; candidates from related backgrounds (retail, marketing, call centre) will be considered
