Roseate Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Night Manager for The Roseate Edinburgh, Scotland.
The hotel is a 5-star luxury boutique hotel and part of the "Small Luxury Hotels Collection." Located in the heart of Edinburgh, it features 35 bespoke guest bedrooms and suites, a bar & restaurant, meeting room, lounge, conservatory, and private gardens. The ambiance is refined, relaxed, luxurious, and intimate.
The Role:
The Night Manager ensures the smooth operation of the hotel during the night in the absence of senior management. They must be familiar with all emergency and security procedures and take charge when necessary. The role requires maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency across all responsibilities.
Working Hours:
Average of 42 hours per week, following a 4-on, 4-off pattern, with shifts from 7:45 PM to 8:15 AM, totaling 12 hours per shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Attend to guests' needs, including check-in and check-out procedures.
* Maintain the presentation of key front-of-house areas.
* Handle telephone inquiries and basic hotel reservations.
* Process Night Audit and End of Day procedures accurately.
* Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and residents during the night.
* Patrol the hotel to ensure tidiness and compliance with health & safety regulations.
* Provide a comprehensive handover to the incoming management at the end of the shift.
Entry Requirements:
* Experience in Front Office within a 4/5-star environment is preferred.
* Attentiveness, well-groomed appearance, initiative, loyalty, maturity, confidentiality, discretion, positive attitude, and dependability.
* Enthusiasm for delivering service excellence.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
