An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Sign Fitter’s Mate to join a well-established and growing signage and graphics business.
Working alongside an experienced Lead Installer, you’ll form part of a two-person installation team, delivering high-quality signage, vinyl, and graphic installations across a wide range of commercial environments.
This role offers exposure to high-profile projects and recognised brands, making it a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality installations.
All tools, equipment and transport are provided, and the successful candidate will share the driving of the company van with the Lead Fitter.
The company are based in Northampton, so living locally is essential as you’ll often pick up materials etc from their centrally based unit.
The Role
Supporting the Lead Installer, you will assist with the installation of a wide range of signage and graphics products at client sites across the UK.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with the installation of signage, vinyl graphics, and related products
• Preparing materials and supporting efficient installations on site
• Driving the company installation van to customer locations
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company standards
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure installations meet expected standards
• Maintaining company tools, equipment, and vehicles
• Representing the business professionally when working on-site with clientsSome projects will involve travel across the UK, and occasional overnight stays may be required depending on installation schedules.
Flexibility towards this is key.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience installing signage, vinyl graphics, or similar (ideally 2 years)
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Experience and competence in using a variety of hand tools
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• CSCS card (or willingness to obtain)Additional accreditations and training can be supported by the business.
