Middlemore is representing an exceptional opportunity for an experienced ER professional to shape a centre of excellence for a fast-growing, global boutique bank. Operating across the UK, Europe, and the US, you’ll lead on complex case management while building capability across a diverse and highly engaged workforce.
The Role
You’ll take full ownership of the organisation’s global Employee Relations strategy, creating a unified policy and process framework, driving regulatory alignment, and coaching managers to handle ER issues with confidence and consistency. The focus is on building systems that work across jurisdictions while empowering local teams to operate with clarity and impact.
Key priorities will include:
* Defining a global approach to ER policies, frameworks, and case management.
* Leading and developing the Employee Relations Centre of Excellence.
* Supporting managers through complex performance and conduct matters.
* Collaborating with senior HR, Legal, and Operational leaders.
* Embedding systems and training that elevate management capability.
About You
We’re looking for a business-focused ER leader who thrives in complex, regulated environments and enjoys building structure where there’s transformation and growth.
You’ll bring:
* Strong experience in Employee Relations, ideally across global or international markets.
* Ideally, you will have a background in Financial Services or other regulated sectors; however, applicants from a variety of industries will be considered.
* Sound understanding of employment law and cross-border ER practices.
* A collaborative, low-ego style with a passion for systems and process improvement.
The Offer
* Competitive salary in the range of £100,000–£130,000 depending on experience.
