Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking a Class 2 HGV driver to operate our Gully Wagons on our Highways Division based in Barrow-in-Furness. About The Role Driving / Operating one of our specialist highways HGV vehicles. We utilise a state of the art system called Samsara that allows drivers to report defects on a daily basis to ensure vehicle is safe and roadworthy at all times. The role will include gully cleaning, drainage investigation, cctv of highway drainage and working closely with our TM department on strategically critical highway routes to ensure roads users can go about their business on a daily basis. There is an element of IT capability required however this is minimal and full training will be given. At Sapphire we like to invest in our people so full mandatory training will be provided as part of the role to ensure all employees are working safely and competently. Location: Barrow-in-Furness Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm) Salary: £35,750 per annum (Overtime paid at a time and a half) Bonus: Based on productivity. This is a full-time position within a growing, and busy department. Responsibilities - But Not Limited To To operate a Highway HGV vehicle would be advantageous, but training will be given to the right candidate. Report defects in a timely manner. Time keeping is imperative and lateness will not be tolerated. Full PPE will be issued and must be worn at all times whilst on site.
