Location: Chesterfield (outskirts)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm
Contract: Permanent

Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Metallurgy Plant Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations at our clients Chesterfield facility. The successful candidate will ensure production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and health & safety procedures are strictly followed.
Duties:
* Supervise daily operations of the shop floor (plant environment), ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency
* Lead and manage a team of operatives, providing guidance, training, and support
* Monitor production output, quality, and compliance with specifications
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to health & safety standards
* Organise shift schedules, allocate tasks, and manage attendance
* Liaise with management on production planning, resource needs, and performance updates
* Maintain accurate records of production, quality checks, and reporting systems
* Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions
Requirements
* Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or plant environment (Metals, Laboratory, plating, welding, metallurgy)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Good understanding of health & safety regulations in industrial settings
* Ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
* Numerate and IT literate (comfortable with logging data and using production systems)
* Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
* Physically capable of working in a plant environment
