Pay: £92.95 per day (dependent on experience could increase)

We’re looking for a dedicated Learning Assistant to join a friendly, welcoming school in Newport. Whether you’re experienced in education or coming from a care, youth work or support background, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils who need an extra helping hand
Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and classroom preparation
Supporting pupils with ALN/SEMH needs where required
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence
Helping create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
What we’re looking for:
Someone patient, nurturing and proactive
Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults (school or care background welcomed!)
Strong communication skills and the confidence to build positive relationships
A genuine passion for supporting pupils’ wellbeing and progress
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
