About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Plumbing and Gas Lecturer to deliver engaging and industry-relevant teaching to learners across a range of levels, from Level 1 to Level 3. You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching in plumbing and gas installation, maintenance, and safety.
* Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning materials.
* Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
* Support learners with practical and theoretical knowledge.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and qualifications.
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
What We’re Looking For
* A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plumbing and/or Gas.
* Qualifications in domestic gas (CCN1, CENWAT, etc.).
* Industry experience in plumbing and gas installation/maintenance.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.
Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by undergoing a 2 year employment check and a DBS Application, completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
