Drama Instructor - Northampton

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with welcoming secondary schools across Northampton, seeking a dynamic Drama Instructor to join their teams this September 2025. This full-time, long-term position is ideal for individuals with a background in performing arts who want to bring energy, imagination, and leadership to the classroom.
Whether you're an actor, director, youth worker, or aspiring teacher, this role offers a unique route into education - allowing you to gain valuable experience while making a real difference in students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging and interactive Drama sessions for Key Stages 3 and 4
2. Support the Drama department in planning creative lessons and activities
3. Inspire students through performance, improvisation, and group work
4. Assist with extra-curricular activities such as school plays and drama clubs
5. Encourage student confidence, expression, and collaboration
6. Help manage classroom behaviour and support pastoral development
We'd love to hear from you if you:
7. Have experience working with young people in schools, theatre groups, or youth settings
8. Hold a Drama or Performing Arts degree (not essential, but a bonus!)
9. Are passionate about drama education and youth development
10. Possess strong communication and organisational skills
11. Are enthusiastic, reliable, and open to learning and training
