Senior Residential Childcare Officer - Newton Aycliffe
A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for this role with the willingness to get business insurance.
Level 3 Residential Childcare Required

Location: ROC Children's Homes, Durham

5 hours per week (including sleep-ins, weekends, and Bank Holidays)

Salary: £31,500 - £34,500 per annum + £50 per sleep in (minimum 8 PCM)
ROC the National Care Employer of the Year (2022) is looking for a full-time Senior Residential Childcare Officer to join the team in safe, nurturing, and caring homes for children and young people.
As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will support young people in their day-to-day lives, providing high-quality, safe, and nurturing care. You'll help with the everyday needs and activities of the young people whilst providing them with life skills and great memories! The home is Ofsted registered, and you will work with the team to make sure the home is compliant with the regulations.

As a Senior Residential Childcare Officer, you will lead by example in providing care and support to young people with emotional, behavioural, or learning difficulties. You will guide and support Residential Childcare Workers, assist the management team, and help ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.
Advocate for young people and promote their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
Guide young people through structured routines and behavioural boundaries.
Support daily operations and ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
Assist in team development through training, supervision, and motivation.
Promote flexible working, team morale, and proactive problem-solving.
Maintain confidentiality, data protection, and uphold health and safety standards.
~ Transport young people in line with care plans and legal requirements.

Engage in ongoing training and development.
Attend team meetings, contribute to continuous improvement, and uphold equality and diversity at all times.
