Overview
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join a growing Financial Planning firm. You will work closely with Financial Advisers to provide high-quality technical support, research, and suitability report writing, helping to deliver tailored financial advice to clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Preparing clear, compliant suitability reports across pensions, investments, protection, and estate planning
2. Conducting whole-of-market research and product comparisons
3. Cashflow modelling using tools such as Voyant, CashCalc, or similar
4. Reviewing fact finds and risk profiles to ensure accurate recommendations
5. Liaising with providers and platforms to obtain illustrations and technical information
6. Supporting annual reviews and ongoing client servicing
7. Ensuring all documentation meets FCA and internal compliance standards
8. Assisting with technical queries and complex case analysis
Skills & Experience Required
9. Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA/Financial Planning firm
10. Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection products
11. Experience writing suitability reports
12. Familiarity with CRM/back-office systems (e.g., Intelliflo, XPLAN, IO)
13. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
14. Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
Desirable
15. Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or working towards)
16. Experience with cashflow modelling software and research tools such as FE Analytics
