Reference: e111b095 Can you spare a few hours a week to support a lady who has just recently been diagnosed with Autism and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). Hi, I am a 34 years old lady who lives In Pudsey. I would like a Personal Assistant (P.A.) to cover 8 hours weekly support to assist me with visiting my son, accessing the community and help with daily activities. I have recently been diagnosed with Autism and have been in contact with Autism Aid who are supporting me. I have also been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and I am currently having ongoing discussions with neurologists. FND can cause me to have fits and lose my ability to talk. I have sensory overload and find shopping for food overwhelming. I have bad anxiety and I am currently taking medication for this. I find it stressful and overwhelming when I am given information verbally or on paper and sometimes needs this breaking down to understand what has been said, I also struggle with making phones calls so prefer to use email instead. I would like someone who has experience of working with Autism and FND. I have a 10 yrs old son who is currently living with his dad and I would like to spend time with him but I am afraid of having a fit while I am with him so would require you to attend with me. You must be able to communicate well over the phone, letter or face to face. I struggle when travelling alone by bus or train as my anxiety increases so I would like someone who can drive and has access to a car. The hours consist of : · 4 hours support as a parent · 4 hours support to accessing the community and managing daily tasks Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour (Gross) at all times Monday to Friday and £15.69 per hour (Gross) for Saturday and Sunday.
