Responsibilities
Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer required on a part‑time basis for a post‑tensioned bridge refurbishment scheme during the construction stage.
Required to represent a client as scheme designer, answering Technical Queries, communicating with Contractors, National Highways site supervisors and H&S representatives on site. Carry out Works Examiner role and sign Construction Compliance Certificate upon completion. Based remotely but required to attend site when necessary (day or night shifts – location: Thurlaston, Rugby, Warwickshire).
Experience & Qualifications
* Works Examiner role experience
* Experience of post‑tensioned bridges and site investigations
* Familiarity with DMRB standards and good understanding/experience of National Highways procedures
* Technical and commercial management skills, good communicator with technical ability to drive problem solving
* Driving licence
* National Highway Passport, CSCS card required
