Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Ultrasound Team as an Imaging Department Assistant. The successful applicant is required to provide a supportive role to the Ultrasound team ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective service. You will work as part of the team to give the best quality of service by assisting sonographers, nurses and medical staff by carrying out non-radiographic clinical and non-clinical tasks within the Maternity and General Medical Ultrasound Departments throughout the Imaging Directorate.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Ultrasound team by carrying out non-radiographic clinical and non-clinical tasks within the Maternity and General Medical Ultrasound Departments throughout the Imaging Directorate.
* Support sonographers, nurses and medical staff to ensure delivery of an efficient and effective service.
* Handle correspondence as described in the original wording (e.g., all correspondence will be sent via the email address used to apply) and ensure you check emails regularly.

Person Specification
* A caring, cooperative and flexible approach to working practices is required while maintaining a professional attitude for the dignity and well-being of the patient. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required with experience of direct patient care desirable but not essential.
* Confidentiality is vitally important and basic computer knowledge/skills are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team.
* The Ultrasound Department provides a 7-day service with hours between 8:30 am and 8:00 pm across Royal Stoke and County sites and multiple community units, therefore vehicle ownership and a full driving license are essential.
