An established and well-respected family run organisation is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations across a diverse portfolio. This role will be between 25-30 hours a week.
This is a varied, hands-on role offering genuine responsibility, autonomy, and regular interaction external accountants, and professional advisers. Based in a professional, close-knit environment, the role would suit someone who enjoys breadth, ownership, and working within a stable, long-term setting.
What will the Bookkeeper role involve?
* Managing day-to-day bookkeeping
* Managing multiple bank accounts and preparing regular cashflow forecasts
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations (with external support as required)
* Running Sage payroll, including HMRC submissions, pensions and end-of-year processes
* Preparing information for annual accounts and liaising with external accountants
* Preparing financial reports for quarterly Board with attendance as required
Suitable Candidate for the Bookkeeper vacancy:
* Proven experience in a broad bookkeeping or financial administration role
* Comfortable working across multiple entities
* Confident payroll experience including HMRC and pension submissions
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with suppliers and advisers
