The Opportunity
Primary Objectives:
The core services of the Data Analytics Team are:
1. Data statistics
2. Client Dashboards
3. Data extraction, consolidation and analysis
4. Bespoke automation solutions including AI based solutions
5. Quant analytics (inc. offer calculations for claims)
6. Decision analysis
7. Modelling of quantum exposure
8. Data breach analytics
9. This role will focus on internal client relationships (with instructing partners and associates) and the delivery of day-to-day delivery of matter work in the data analytics team. This will include people management and ensuring the appropriate resourcing of matters (to include training needs), reporting to and working closely with the Senior Manager, Data Analytics.
10. The Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for providing expertise, advising on any issues within the team or with cases and taking the lead on resolving them (supporting more junior members of the team as appropriate). The role will ensure the overall provision of high quality services and will play a key part through effective consultancy in building the reputation of the Data Analytics Team, both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
11. Together with the Head of Data Analytics, be part of the design, development and ongoing evolution of dashboards and tracking of client metrics as part of client delivery
12. Supporting the head of data analytics to build relationships with partners and CRMS in London, selling the data analytics offerings
13. Supporting matters that heavily focus on data analysis and reporting.
14. Translating data into presentable content for matter insights reporting.
15. Incorporating Gen AI based solutions into deliverables where appropriate.
16. Converting data into different formats to suit matter delivery (e.g. log file format conversion for data breach analytics)
17. Producing Legal Transformation dashboards for key stakeholders and ensuring they understand the functionality.
18. Manipulating and presenting numerical data in formats that are easily understood by a broad range of stakeholders, providing concise narratives to back up the numbers.
19. Coaching and providing guidance to junior members of the team.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
20. Demonstrates analytical reasoning, interpretation and evaluation of complex information, with the ability to exercise judgment and resolve issues independently.
21. A strategic, analytical mindset to solve complex problems by developing insights from data
22. Advanced technical experience building and maintaining tools and reports
23. Ability to design impactful slide decks and dashboards
24. Excellent storytelling skills to communicate insights to key stakeholders within the business
25. Advanced Excel, PowerBI, or similar
26. Foundational knowledge of data querying languages such as SQL, Python
27. Familiarity with SharePoint, Power Automate and MS Fabric
28. Tertiary study in a related area (Data Science, Economics or Mathematics) beneficial
29. Advanced MS Office suite skills (ie Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
30. High level of attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise
31. Ability to work effectively within an agile, activity based environment
32. Ability to delegate tasks to junior team members (clear instructions with a quality control workflow in place)
