Our client is a World leader in the manufacture and distribution of DIY & Trade products; they currently have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the team in the South of England.
The Role
You’ll play a crucial role within the sales team, liaising with merchants at branch level and communicating orders and information to the National Accounts and Field Sales teams.
* Identify & develop opportunities within builder’s merchant chains (branch level)
* Support sales & merchandising teams to maximise opportunities and product coverage
* Support product visibility and availability
* Call on branches on a regular call-cycle basis
* Represent the organisation at trade fairs, events and forums
The Candidate
* Proven field sales experience
* Key track record of success
* Previous experience working at merchant level – Jewsons, Huws Gray, Selco
* Previous experience within the buying groups – NMBS, Fortis etc
* Full UK Drivers license
