What you'll do
You will provide finance support to the Commercial Grocery Trading Team as a business partner, helping to shape and deliver the 3-year 'Next Level Sainsbury's' strategy with a focus on Market Innovation. Your responsibilities include producing insightful analysis for decision-making, preparing reports for senior leadership, carrying out period end processes, collaborating on forecasting and budgeting, identifying risks and opportunities, challenging business cases, and streamlining processes to improve financial performance. Strong stakeholder management, analytical skills, commercial acumen, and effective communication are key to success in this dynamic role.

Your financial acumen and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels support decision-making and strategic planning. Your analytical skills, self-motivation, and ability to manage priorities enable you to provide insights, challenge assumptions, and improve financial processes to benefit both customers and the business.
Essential Criteria
* Part Qualified / Qualified accountant – CIMA/ACCA/ACA
* Proficiency in Excel and numerical analysis, with the ability to convert data into insights
* Ability to communicate financial information effectively to senior stakeholders, verbally and in writing
* Commercial awareness with a track record of contributing to financial and business performance
* Experience in collaborative working and building trusted relationships across departments
