Accounts Payable Clerk
Hook (Hybrid Working)
£30,000 - £35,000 + benefits

The Opportunity
Robert Half are partnering with a well-established, international business operating within a fast-paced, project-led environment to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance team within a growing organisation that offers strong exposure to global operations and clear development potential.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function, working closely with stakeholders across finance and operations, both in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process high volumes of supplier invoices across multiple currencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
2. Manage the AP inbox, responding to and resolving supplier queries efficiently
3. Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
4. Prepare and process weekly and ad hoc payment runs
5. Ensure correct VAT treatment across all invoices and credit notes
6. Support month-end close activities, including prepayments and accruals
7. Reconcile intercompany balances and key general ledger accounts
8. Review and reconcile freight costs, ensuring accurate period allocation
9. Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and drive efficiencies
10. Support audit requirements and wider finance team activities as needed

About You

11. Previous experience within an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
12. Experience working with multi-currency transactions
13. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data accurately
14. Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
15. Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
16. Experience within a manufacturing or product-led environment is advantageous
