To Ensure the production and assembly of meals in line with scheduled activity and deadlines and that required food product is managed effectively to ensure that food quality standards are preserved at all stages of the production process.


Who You’ll Deal With

Internal: Operations Management, Team Managers, Shift Leaders, Production employees, Compliance, HR and all other internal departments


What You’ll Be Doing

* Ensure all Production costs are achieved to target.
* Plan and organise activities to meet schedule targets.
* Ensuring activities are planned and organised to meet scheduled targets utilising identified best practice tools. Plans and schedules will include: Holidays, Rosters, Work Schedules
* Ensure effective yield check management occurs through: effective yield testing to verify theoretical yields, ensuring identified best practice assembly processes are applied, ensuring the theoretical yield is achievable, agreement and maintenance of the internal delivery schedule, ensuring that Period End stock take activity is coordinated and briefings undertaken to maintain accuracy.
* Design and review contingency plans when changes to assembly are required.
* Ensure effective wastage management through: ensuring documentation is fully completed, reviewing documentation and taking appropriate corrective action, effectively reviewing and analysing waste breakdown information, agreeing corrective actions and monitoring progress, identifying and quantifying implications of proposed changes to process or customer requirements, agreeing and effectively reviewing action plans to ensure costs are controlled appropriately, controlling substitution and wastage costs, ensuring action plans are developed to eliminate problems, providing, analysing and reviewing information to meet financial targets.
* Manage the performance of your team to achieve targets and seek further productivity improvements.
* Effectively review process performance using Management information, process management reports daily, and communicate action plans.
* Attend daily meetings to agree action plans and resolve issues.
* Undertake review of business objectives, annual appraisals, and monthly action plans.
* Communicate effectively utilizing all elements of the communication structure/process.
* Recruit to meet current and future needs.
* Review team and individual performance on daily, weekly, and periodic basis, initiating and reviewing action plans.
* Ensure compliance with legislative, customer and company standards, introduce best practice for production compliance, ensure daily compliance checks, monitor performance and implement corrective action plans.
* Ensure security checks and due diligence paperwork are completed and reviewed.
* Plan training for team members to ensure compliance.
* Ensure all documents are created and controlled per required procedures.
* Ensure team contributes positively to internal and external customer service, maintaining regular contact with customers, and promptly rectifying assembly issues.
* Provide expert knowledge to customers about production issues, investigating and communicating all service and compliance incidents.

What Are The Measures Of Success

* Management of Overtime, Absence, Holidays, rostered hours, wastage and stock levels
* Completion of company due diligence paperwork
* Legal compliance (Health & Safety at Work, Working Time, …)
* Performance in internal and external Audits
* Observation and comments from customers
* Feedback from other Departments
* Training, appraisals and reviews
* Recruitment, rostering and retention of staff
* Disciplinary and Grievance management
* Effective Communication e.g. daily / weekly briefs


What You’ll Have

* People management skills, e.g. dealing with performance issues, grievances, holidays, and absence management
* Ability to plan, organise and delegate
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Communication Skills – must be able to communicate at all levels
* An understanding of health and safety regulations
* Must be methodical, and logical in their approach to work
* Food Hygiene certificate and or IOSH
