Position
Lead Physiotherapist – Inpatient, Vale Hospital – Permanent, Part Time (30 hours per week), Salary up to £49,000 per annum pro‑rata dependent on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Inpatient Physiotherapy service, ensuring delivery of high quality effective clinical care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment.
- Provide leadership, motivation and supervision of all members of the inpatient physiotherapy team.
- Deliver clinical care for patients and integrate with the inpatient physiotherapy team, pre‑assessment, theatres and ward staff.
- Ensure delivery of safe and effective care services that provide patients with the highest level of customer experience within Physiotherapy, identifying and delivering quality improvement opportunities.
- Work with the Integrated Clinical Services Manager, Matron and Hospital Director to deliver relevant aspects of the Hospital business plan.
- Manage the inpatient team’s rota and maintain clinical workload alongside managerial duties.
- Work with Consultants to ensure best practice and take responsibility for challenges, driving quality service and outcomes.
- Maintain HIW standards at all times, undertake departmental risk assessments, maintain plans for minimising incidents and report appropriately.
- Involvement in recruitment and HR responsibilities.
Key Qualifications
- Qualified Physiotherapist with a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Previous management experience desirable.
- Demonstrable passion for excellence and driving standards.
- Proactive, adaptable and innovative.
- Confident communication skills with excellent customer service standards and ability to deal with escalations.
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
