The Volunteer to Career programme supports the Armed Forces community by offering tailored volunteering opportunities at hospitals and hospices. Through this programme, you can:

Volunteers will support staff, patients, and their carers in various ways, such as providing quick support in a fast-paced environment, assisting with exercises to improve fitness, or offering a listening ear to ease anxiety. The programme aims to help volunteers find employment in the healthcare sector. While volunteering, you will:
1. Gain insights into working in healthcare
2. Receive tailored support to explore career opportunities
3. Navigate the recruitment process and access further training
4. Build confidence and skills
5. Shape your volunteering experience to align with your career goals
6. Receive support with numeracy and literacy skills if desired
7. Access peer-to-peer support for mental health conditions
Current opportunities within this programme allow volunteers to explore careers in:
* Non-Clinical, Estate roles
* Corporate roles (HR, Finance, IT)
* Nursing, Medical roles, HCA, Estates, Allied Health Professions, Nursing/Midwifery, Support Services, Medical & Dental roles, and more
