Assistant Restaurant Manager - London
About The Role:
We're looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager who will be a hands-on leader on the restaurant floor, supporting the Senior and Restaurant Managers in all aspects of Front of House operations. In this role, you will take ownership of your shifts, lead the FOH team, and contribute to financial, people, and service performance.
As a successful Assistant Restaurant Manager you will:
* Lead shifts with full accountability for health & safety, licensing and food safety compliance, including walk-rounds, incident reporting and safety drill readiness.
* Develop, coach and motivate the FOH team, delivering briefings, training, tastings and supporting recruitment, onboarding and performance development.
* Own the guest journey on shift, ensuring exceptional service standards, strong team knowledge and seamless collaboration with kitchen and bar.
* Support financial performance, including rota planning, shift reporting, sales analysis and identifying revenue opportunities without compromising experience.
* Act as a brand and culture ambassador, driving team engagement, positive behaviours and adoption of new initiatives, menus and operational improvements.
We'd love to hear from you if you bring:
* Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Strong knowledge of health & safety, food safety and licensing standards, with confidence leading compliance practices on shift.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, train and inspire front-of-house teams, with a passion for people development and team culture.
* Commercial awareness with experience in labour scheduling and sales reporting.
* Guest-focused mindset with excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.
