Aramark UK is recruiting a Deputy General Manager to join our team working in and around Yale, Bersham Road in Wrexham, and Ruthin campus, with the postcode LL12 7AB.
Role Overview:
The Deputy General Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the commercial catering department. The role focuses on managing and growing all catering outlets across the college, maintaining high service standards, ensuring financial efficiency, staff and student development, and aligning catering services with the college’s commercial and educational objectives.
Each Deputy will be responsible for operations, financial management, and development of catering services at their sites, working closely to ensure consistency across locations.

A day in the life of a Deputy General Manager:
* Ensure high-quality food and drink offerings meeting customer and industry standards
* Develop menus tailored to each campus's needs, considering demographics and operational requirements
* Collaborate with Welsh suppliers, prioritising local ingredients for sustainability and regional identity
* Focus on seasonal and locally sourced produce for freshness and quality
* Lead, develop, and motivate the catering team
* Manage budgets and financial performance to meet targets
* Identify and support growth opportunities, including new revenue streams and catering contracts
* Work with college colleagues to maximise event potential
* Support sales and business growth strategies
Essential qualifications:
* Previous managerial experience
* Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check
