We’re working with a welcoming and well-run primary school in Cardiff who are looking to bring in a Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a real impact in the classroom. Pay: £89.38 – £95 per day Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday) Contract: Term-time / Full time The Role You’ll be supporting learning and behaviour in the classroom, working closely with the class teacher and wider school staff. The role may include 1:1 support, small group interventions, and general classroom assistance. Key responsibilities: Supporting pupils with learning activities in class and in small groups Providing 1:1 support where required (including ALN/SEN support) Helping with classroom organisation and creating a positive learning environment Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour Assisting with break/lunchtime duties where needed Building strong relationships with pupils and staff What we’re looking for Experience working with children (school setting preferred) A calm, patient, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for helping children succeed Compliance (Essential) Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply – we can help) EWC registration (or willing to register – we can help) Right to work in the UK is essential If you have lived abroad for 6 months in the last 5 years, an overseas criminal clearance check will be required What you’ll get Consistent hours in a supportive school environment Competitive daily pay Ongoing guidance and support throughout your placement Opportunity to build school-based experience and progress your career Interested?
