About the Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide small group and one-to-one support, and confidently cover classes when required.
Your Responsibilities:
Supporting teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons.
Leading small group interventions and one-to-one support sessions.
Covering classes in the teacher’s absence, ensuring learning continues effectively.
Assisting in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback.
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a supportive learning environment.
Supporting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum.
Working collaboratively with staff and parents to support student development.
Skills & Requirements:
HLTA or Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
Ability to deliver engaging learning activities independently.
Previous experience in a school setting as an HLTA is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
