Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Team Leader to join our dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities

As Manufacturing Team Leader your primary focus will be to oversee the efficient manufacturing of company products, maintaining a high‑performing assembly line that is consistent with company standard operating procedures. You will work diligently to ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times and maintain all relevant documentation in accordance with the BS EN ISO 14644 clean room requirements, BS EN ISO 9001 and cGMP standards.

You will ensure that the manufacturing and/or assembly of our fluid technology products are carried out in accordance with the manufacturing plan.

You will oversee the efficient manufacturing of company products, maintaining product quality by carrying out regular work‑in‑progress reviews.

You will address all faults or defects within manufactured products and equipment, escalating through the relevant channels when required.

You will be responsible for organising, prioritising, and distributing the daily workload within your team of Manufacturing Operatives.

You will undertake your Manufacturing team’s line set‑up, operational supervision and line clearance activities.

You will maintain all relevant documentation to ensure compliance with the BS EN ISO 14644 clean room requirements, BS EN ISO 9001 and cGMP standards.

You will ensure compliance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Standards.

You will ensure compliance with all company health and safety rules and regulations at all times, including contributing to any company health and safety initiatives and activities.

You will ensure that the daily, weekly and monthly cleaning operations within the cleanroom environment are carried out in accordance with company procedures to ensure BS EN ISO 14644 cleanroom compliance.

You will liaise with other Manufacturing Team Leaders and Operators to ensure efficient flow of manufactured product.

You will be responsible for inputting and maintaining all data required within production support software.

You will be responsible for the management of sickness absence and annual leave requests across your team.

You will lead the daily Level 1 Self‑Directed Team board for Manufacturing.

You will engage in continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.


Skills/Experience

* Significant experience of manufacturing and/or assembling plastic injection moulded products.
* Experience of leading a team of individuals to deliver a specific outcome aligned to a manufacturing plan, ideally within a medical/pharmaceutical environment.
* Awareness of the BS EN ISO 14644 clean room requirements, BS EN ISO 9001 and cGMP standards.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, ensuring clear and concise objectives and delivery across the team.
* Ability to identify problems and implement the best solutions in a timely manner to ensure efficient delivery of the service.
* Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly of products and strict adherence to specifications.
* Effective time management with the ability to prioritise tasks and work productively to meet required deadlines.
* Experience leading an assembly team and developing strong working relationships with other members of the manufacturing team including mould shop supervisors, quality control technicians and supply chain colleagues.
* Competent IT user, capable of utilising IT tools such as Microsoft Office packages and production support software.
