Summary of the role
Job Title: Specialist Occupational Therapist (Band 6 Equivalent)
Location: Long Eaton Day Services
Salary: Up to £16,470 (£41,175 pro rata per annum), dependent on experience
Hours: 16 hours (part-time)
Contract: Permanent
Long Eaton Day Services supports individuals aged 16+ with learning disabilities, complex health needs, physical disabilities, and autism. The service emphasizes outcomes and value through activities developed collaboratively with professionals, parents, and service users. Operating from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, the service offers flexible scheduling to maximize individual potential.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care, including assessments, treatment, and management within the service. You will develop and implement treatment plans based on assessments and multidisciplinary team input.
Our Occupational Therapy department supports over 150 OTs and 300 OT support staff, fostering a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional development, involvement in service development, and participation in specialist interest groups.
We offer a 12-month preceptorship program to support new graduates and those impacted by recent challenges, aiming to consolidate core skills and build confidence.
