This term time only role is a hands-on, visible role for someone calm under pressure, people-focused and committed to keeping learners safe, supported and thriving. As a Campus Support Responder, you’ll offer a supportive and highly visible presence to learners, staff and visitors, always prioritising safety and wellbeing across the College. You’ll respond to first aid, wellbeing and emergency incidents, act as a designated first aider, monitor behaviour, promote positive choices and College values, and helpmaintain campus security, including the appropriate use of CCTV. Working closely with Student Support Services, the Senior Safeguarding Officer and DSL, you’ll identify, report and record safeguarding concerns, support vulnerable learners, signpost to the right services and follow College procedures. You’ll diffuse conflict using a solution-focused, restorative approach. In short: you’ll be a steady, trusted presence who helps our campus run safely, respectfully and inclusively—every day.

What we're looking for:

1. Demonstrable experience of building positive, respectful relationships with young people.
2. Trained in Safeguarding, or committed to achieving the required training.
3. A highly professional approach with the ability to maintain clear and appropriate boundaries at all times.
4. Confident in de-escalating situations and managing conflict in a calm, solution-focused way.
5. Able to stay composed, level-headed and effective in pressurised situations.
6. A strong team player who works collaboratively and supports colleagues when needed.

7. Annual Salary: £20,627 [FTE £25,367]
8. Full-time position, 37 hours per week, Term Time only
