This school provides high-quality education for boys and girls aged 4-12 with a primary diagnosis of Autism (ASD) and additional needs such as MLD, SLD, SLCN, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory issues, and associated behavioural difficulties. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a personalised curriculum that meets the diverse learning needs of pupils aged 4-12, with a strong focus on Key Stage 2 experience.
* Develop and implement engaging lessons that support educational progress and enhance social communication skills.
* Work collaboratively with a dedicated staff team and extensive Teaching Assistant (TA) support in classes to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
* Build strong, meaningful relationships with pupils, fostering their confidence and encouraging friendships.
* Communicate effectively and regularly with parents and carers, providing updates on progress and offering advice and support.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of and experience with Autism (ASD), MLD, SLD, and SLCN.
* Proven Key Stage 2 experience.
* A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to teaching.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
