THE ROLE:
This role is predominantly 1st and 2nd line support, working hands-on and hands-off. It also includes desktop support, server support, application support and general infrastructure.
You will resolve day-to-day technical issues, maintain IT equipment and local networks.
Other duties may be assigned outside of the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Support and resolve IT application-related incidents, service requests and problems in a timely and efficient manner in line with Business requirements.
2. Employ appropriate application maintenance, support and incident management processes and procedures to support and maintain IT applications, and to investigate and resolve IT application-related incidents.
3. As required, provide timely communication to users on the status of their service requests and incidents.
4. As necessary, liaise with IT suppliers to ensure IT application-related incidents and problems are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
5. Ensure problem prevention methods are continually applied to improve service levels and reduce costs.
