Job Description
This is an exciting role in the Hazardous Waste team, providing leadership to ensure that the regime is sustainably resourced, meets all internal audit standards, and remains fit for the future. The responsibilities include:
1. Forming a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including options for improvements.
2. Implementing recommendations from this review, such as:
* Assessing the distribution of monies
* Evaluating KPIs
* Developing and delivering innovative ways of working
1. Supporting the implementation of Improving Regulation.
2. Driving Area Hazardous Waste activities and increasing visibility.
The team:
The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing team within the Regime Regulation division, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure hazardous waste is managed correctly. We promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture that values everyone. We leverage evidence, expertise, engagement, and innovation to support policy development, influence legislation, and secure resources.
Experience/Skills Required
