Job Description
AECOM is recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our established team in Bristol. The team is undertaking a range of new build and refurbishment projects from £500k to £50m+ across sectors such as education, health, defence and commercial. We are also assisting national and international clients in planning to meet carbon reduction targets as part of the national drive for Net Zero Carbon.
Here’s what you’ll do:
* Assisting with the structural engineering design of complex engineering projects.
* Performing work to an agreed budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
* Taking responsibility for and managing smaller projects.
* Providing guidance to graduate engineers.

Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience) with relevant work experience in a similar consultancy or engineering environment.
* Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and/or the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).
* Ability to deliver structural design solutions and assessment calculations while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience working on a range of structural projects, including steel and concrete frames, with some involvement in coordinating with external design team members and contractors.
* Proficiency in structural engineering software such as Tekla Structures, SCIA Engineer and TEDDS, and experience collaborating with BIM technicians.
* Strong communication skills and attention to technical quality, with experience participating in internal design reviews, design workshops and professional interactions with project stakeholders.
