The Opportunity
Are you looking for a role where safety, commercial insight, and relationship management come together?
We're recruiting a Logistics Category Specialist to join Holcim UK in a brand-new, regional position covering the South of the UK. You'll be at the heart of our logistics network, working closely with hauliers to uphold our Zero Harm culture while helping shape cost and performance improvements.
What You'll Be Doing
* Carrying out vehicle inspections, yard audits, and safety assessments to ensure full compliance with regulatory and company standards
* Building strong, professional relationships with hauliers and acting as their main point of contact for day-to-day queries
* Monitoring telematics and performance data to identify safety risks, service improvements, and cost-saving opportunities
* Supporting regional cost, sourcing, and capacity initiatives, including spot-hire and demand planning
* Producing reports, scorecards, and insights to support performance reviews and continuous improvement
Who you are
* You have a strong understanding of road transport safety regulations and compliance standards
* You are experienced in logistics, transport operations, or fleet coordination within a regional environment
* You take pride in building professional relationships and influencing external partners constructively
* You are confident using data and reporting tools, including Excel, to track performance and drive improvements
* You are able to work independently, manage priorities, and make informed operational decisions
