Assembly Team Leader Lancing £30-40K Experienced Assembly Team Leader required to work for a specialist manufacturing business in Lancing. We are looking for someone with proven management skills combined with a positive, "can-do" attitude and a willingness to learn new skills are essential for this position, together with reliability, punctuality and the ability to provide leadership and motivation to your team. Production Responsibilities Master all Assembly processes Train and mentor new production staff Attend daily production huddles in order to understand workload priorities and schedule work accordingly Liaise with the Production Manager regarding staffing requirements Brief your team on project specifics and distribute work to staff members whilst giving consideration to their individual strengths Pick bulk issue components required for completing works orders every day Take full responsibility for Primary Assembly quality control Use Barcoding & Warehousing to complete works orders etc. Use software packages Shop Floor Data Capture to feedback operation times etc. Apply lean manufacturing principles in order to eliminate waste and drive continuous improvement in all areas of productionKPIs Primary Assembly workbenches to be fully prepared by 07:30am every morning Production area to be left clean, tidy and organised at the end of every day ("A place for everything and everything in its place") Qualifications Some of the following would be useful but are not necessarily essential: Core General Education including; NVQ / SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Performing Manufacturing Operations BTEC Level 2 or 3 in Engineering / Manufacturing EAL Level 3 Certificate in Team Leadership (Manufacturing) Leadership & Management Certifications Essential Safety & Compliance Process Improvement/Lean MethodologyThis is an excellent opportunity to work for a leading organisation where you will be able to learn and progress your career.
