Becoming an apprentice at AxisCLC is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and training. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, whilst learning on the job. You will be expected to attend school/college once a week as part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you could be offered a permanent position. The commercial analyst apprenticeship is a comprehensive programme lasting up to 24 months. During this period, you will assist with oa variety of projects on contracting and estimating works. You will also attend college in order to gain additional skills and qualifications. Responsibilities Review and approve subcontractor claims for payment through completion of work orders. Raise Purchase Orders to ensure costs are captured accurately and in a timely manner. Review material purchases and identify any anomalies or discrepancies. Manage the end-to-end valuation, application, and accounts processes for all works in accordance with contract terms, including variations. Ensure Completed Not Invoiced (CNI) jobs are maintained at pre-agreed levels throughout the contract period. Identify and report any shortfall against anticipated profitability levels, determine root causes, and develop proposals for remedial action where required. Attend progress meetings and provide commercial reports to clients and senior management as required. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and internal colleagues. Ensure full compliance with all terms, conditions, and practices of the assigned contracts. Prepare for and participate in periodic commercial reviews with the Commercial Manager and Finance teams. Liaise with Credit Control to identify, manage, and resolve debt-related issues across assigned contracts. Submit variations and quotations in a timely and professional manner, ensuring proposals are commercially viable, profitable, and risk-averse. Manage, develop, and maintain key processes, delegated authority rules, and systems of working.
