Position Summary
The QA Associate will play a vital role in supporting the Quality Assurance function within a dynamic engineering and manufacturing environment. Working under the guidance of the Quality Manager, the QA Associate will assist with documentation control, non-conformance tracking, internal audits, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. This role is ideal for someone at an early stage in their Quality Assurance career, seeking to return to the profession. The successful candidate will help uphold Salt Separation Services' commitment to maintaining high industry standards and improving efficiency through streamlined QA processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in planning, conducting, and documenting internal audits against ISO 9001:2015 and company-specific requirements.
* Track and support the investigation and closure of non-conformances and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
* Maintain and update controlled documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and forms.
* Support the management of training records and assist in the scheduling of training sessions.
* Compile and prepare data for monthly and quarterly quality performance reports.
* Assist in calibration scheduling and maintenance of equipment records.
* Support the Discrepant Material Reporting (DMR) process by logging, tracking, and ensuring timely resolution of material issues.
* Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement initiatives across production and engineering teams.
* Assist with the identification and implementation of process improvements to streamline QA activities.
* Provide general administrative support to the Quality department.
* Executing projects to drive forward Salt Separation Services' business delivery and contribute to overall success.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Previous experience in Quality Assurance or compliance support role
* Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or other quality management systems is desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
* Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and work independently.
* Experience with document control systems or quality software
