Job Description
Due to continued growth, our friendly team in St Helens has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner to join on a full-time, permanent basis!
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will work closely with existing customers and manage potential new business; liaise with other departments (e.g., Production, Warehouse, and Quality) to ensure customer expectations and demands are met on time.
Salary:
£32,000-£34,000 per annum.
Working hours:
Monday-Friday, 8 am-4 pm.
Key Duties of a Supply Chain Planner:
1. Monitoring and ordering stock of ingredients and packaging to meet production and customer requirements.
2. Expediting and delaying orders as needed.
3. Communicating with customers regarding any issues and managing expectations.
4. Liaising with customers and suppliers for call-offs of free-issue components and packaging.
5. Creating and managing vision data, including stock codes, BOMs, and stocking levels.
6. Coordinating departments to ensure successful project launches.
7. Working with the Planning team to schedule production and manage logistics.
8. Maintaining customer third-party systems, including SAP and Oracle.
9. Organising logistics and booking vehicles for the warehouse.
10. Controlling purchase orders and ensuring proper paperwork and procedures.
11. Performing stock reconciliations and reporting results internally and to customers.
12. Participating in internal audits.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in a similar role managing stock and logistics.
2. Administrative experience in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
3. Knowledge of MRP, planning, logistics, and production supply.
4. Effective communication skills and a positive attitude.
5. Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently.
6. Proficient in MS Excel and attentive to detail.
7. Strong customer service orientation.
