Waste Management Driver 3 positions
Grade 4, £31,022 up to 32,061 per annum (including market supplement)
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a permanent contract

We currently have three vacancies for Category C driving positions within our Waste Management team.

We are very proud of our in-house waste collection services and have just invested in a brand-new fleet of refuse collection vehicles, with new food waste collection vehicles recently arriving.

Your role will include being responsible for a small team collecting waste across our waste streams, such as food waste, refuse, dry recycling or garden waste as part of the wider waste management services we provide.

As the team leader you will ensure tasks and paperwork are completed in a professional manner, that excellent customer service is provided to our residents and to help ensure better management of our resources. You will also be supporting residents to recycle their waste effectively, enabling the Council to meet Corporate Plan objectives.

You must hold a minimum of a Category C licence and be physically fit, able to walk long distances each day, move wheeled bins, sacks, and any other waste containers as required. Excellent customer service is essential for this key frontline service.
