Are you the type of progressive business leader who loves the cut and thrust of operational management within a manufacturing organisation, and who enjoys the challenges that producing a consistently large volume of materials at pace can bring.
I am currently working with a leading manufacturer within the building materials industry with a leading presence in the market, providing a premium product used for multiple applications, reporting to the Executive Leadership Team they are looking for an experienced person to become the Head of Operations in a highly visible role, someone who has a hands-on approach to management, developing culture and mentoring the operational team
What you will be doing:
Hold full responsibility for the success of the manufacturing facility which includes a workforce of over 180 people
Manage the operational budgets
Lead and develop operational strategy aligned with the overall corporate objectives
Drive operational excellence throughout all areas of the site, from manufacturing, engineering, operational support and supply chain
Use raw data and cost analysis to design, promote and improve process to be more efficient to increase profitability
Mentor the departmental management teams in their personal growth and development within the business
Provide strategic leadership and reporting to the executive leadership team
Promote Health & Safety as a key principle of the businessSkills Experience
It is expected that you will be qualified to degree level
A proven track record in operational Leadership in a large multi–process manufacturing business
Be a strategic thinker and problem solver with experience implementing lean manufacturing, operational excellence or transformation programmes with a continuous improvement mindset
Exceptional commercial awareness and the ability to align operational performance with corporate business strategy
