 
        
        Overview
You will be part of a high performing team responsible for managing an operational area to achieve regulatory, customer and performance related targets. You will ensure the sewerage infrastructure is managed to the highest standard whilst working within the agreed budgetary targets.
Responsibilities
 * Assist the Network Manager with the safe & efficient operation of the sewerage network, ensuring that operational activities are undertaken in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.
 * Ensure all investigations are of the highest standard and undertaken in compliance with the relevant management procedures.
 * Provide technical support to service providers and Welsh Water operational staff.
 * Ensure all activities are carried out in line with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
 * Assist the Network Manager with external stakeholders to develop and maintain strong regulatory relationships (e.g., Natural Resources Wales representatives) and participation with community groups when appropriate.
 * Assess asset condition utilizing CCTV equipment.
 * Perform surface water rebate inspections.
 * Assist the Network Manager with effective budget management by promoting repairs once a full investigation has been undertaken.
 * Represent the company during incidents with outside agencies such as emergency services, EHO, local government, etc.
 * Provision and testing of appropriate functional contingency plans (Emergency Response).
 * Maintain effective liaison with Highway Authorities regarding streetworks defects.

 * Internal: DCWW Management Team – operations, H&S, HR, planning, finance & communications.
 * DCWW Contract Partners – delivery managers where appropriate.
 * DCWW Wastewater operational team colleagues.
 * External agencies: Environment Agency / Natural Resources Wales.
 * Local Authorities & Emergency Planning groups.
 * Health & Safety Executive as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
 * Full and valid driving licence.
 * Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day.
 * Committed and hard working.
 * Able to assess risk and adopt a safe working practice to undertake tasks.
 * Willingness to participate in a standby rota (1 in 9).

Working Hours & Rota
 * Standby rota: 1 in 9.
 * Mon – Thurs 08:00 – 16:00; Fri 08:00 – 15:30.
