We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Military Resources Clerk to support the J5/J7 team within the 16 Air Assault Brigade at Merville Barracks, Colchester, CO2 7UT. This pivotal role ensures the smooth operation of daily planning, coordination, and travel logistics, supporting our managers and interacting daily with Armed Forces personnel to improve their quality of life.
What You’ll Do:
1. Meeting Coordination: Organise and support online and in-person meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and support virtual platforms like Microsoft Teams and SECRET VTC. Book venues and oversee logistics for physical meetings.
2. Planning & Resource Allocation: Manage MOD-specific software (CHURCHILL, SOR, OPUS, Defence Travel Tool), support team training, and monitor resource schedules.
3. Travel Coordination: Book travel using the Army’s systems, ensure compliance with MOD policies, handle queries, and maintain expense records.
4. General Administration: Update databases, conduct checks as an ePC Checking Officer, securely dispose of sensitive material, and participate in team meetings.
What You Bring:
* Experience in administrative or support roles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience in meeting coordination and travel booking.
* Tech-savviness with online meeting platforms.
* 2 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) or NVQ Business Administration Level 2.
* Security Check (SC) clearance or willingness to undergo vetting.
* Experience with MOD software or similar systems.
* Strong time-management and multitasking skills.
* Knowledge of international travel planning.
* Experience in a military or high-tempo environment.
