Class 1 Delivery DriverLocation: BirminghamPay Rate: £17.84 per hour (PAYE)Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 (HGV C+E) Multidrop Driver for a busy distribution operation based in Birmingham.This role involves curbside deliveries and collections of palletised goods, completing around 4–5 drops per day plus collections using curtain-side vehicles fitted with tail lifts. The role is physically active and requires drivers to use electric pump trucks to move pallets at deliverypoints.Key Responsibilities
o Carry out multidrop curbside deliveries and collections (approximately 4–5 drops per day plus collections)
o Deliver palletised goods using curtainside vehicles with tail lifts
o Use electric pump trucks to load and unload pallets
o Complete daily vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
o Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time
o Maintain high standards of customer service at delivery locations
o Comply with driver hours and road transport regulations
Working Hours
o 05:00 – 08:00 starts
o 10–12-hour shifts
o Monday to Friday with potential overtime depending on workload
Requirements
o Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence
o Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles
o Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
o Previous multidrop delivery experience preferred
o Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
o Good understanding of driver hours and road safety regulations
Pay & Benefits
