Working alongside the Registered Manager, you'll support the day‑to‑day operations, ensuring high‑quality care and that each young person's rights, wellbeing, and individual needs are met.You'll guide and support the staff team, maintaining strong safeguarding practice and meeting all regulatory standards. Your leadership will directly contribute to positive outcomes for young people and uphold Dove's values and commitment to excellent care.Role OverviewAs Dual Deputy Manager, you'll support the Registered Manager across both homes by:Ensuring high‑quality care that meets legislative, safeguarding, Ofsted SCCIF, and organisational standardsPromoting each young person's rights, wellbeing, and individual needsLeading, guiding, and supporting staff to maintain excellent practiceOverseeing records, documentation, monitoring systems, and quality assuranceSupporting daily operations, decision‑making, and service improvementsMaintaining Health & Safety compliance and ensuring staff training is up to dateAssisting with rotas, inductions, supervision, appraisals, and staff developmentSupporting safer recruitment and HR processes (grievances, complaints, disciplinaries)Contributing to budget monitoring, financial controls, and resource managementEnsuring both homes are safe, well maintained, and fully compliantBuilding strong relationships with external agencies, commissioners, and partnersAssisting with placements and admissions when requiredParticipating in the on‑call rota and covering sleep‑ins as neededRequired AttributesCommitment to high‑quality care and educationTeam leadership or management experienceStrong safeguarding and child‑protection knowledgeLevel 3 Children & Young People qualification (minimum)Level 5 Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete)Understanding of vulnerable young people's needsSafe working practice and strong professional boundariesExcellent relationship‑building skillsEmotional resilience and ability to maintain confidentialityCommitment to equality and anti‑discriminatory practiceFull UK driving licence and access to transportFlexible, reliable, and able to support service developmentDove Adolescent Services Ltd established 1993 provides residential care for young people.
