A global leader in recycling and repurposing metals used within the power industry, is continuing to grow its business within the UK and Europe. They are now seeking a Maintenance Engineer to help maintain their state-of-the-art machinery, imperative to companies continued success.
Based close to Birmingham, this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role offers a salary of up to £47,000 annually.
The Role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
You will be a key player in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated systems. Working on a 3-shift rotation, your main responsibilities will include:
* Conducting routine maintenance on automated equipment to prevent downtime.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues efficiently.
* Supporting the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Collaborating with other team members to optimise equipment performance and processes.
Experience and Qualifications:
* A recognised engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in maintaining and repairing automated equipment.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
* Hydraulic & Pneumatic expertise
* A proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is advantageous.
