SENCO - Part-Time, Short-Term Position. Location: Borehamwood. Start Date: November 2025 (until end of December 2025). Schedule: 2 days per week.

Role Overview
As SENCO, you will play a key role in leading the school's SEND provision, ensuring high-quality support for pupils with additional needs and working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to promote inclusive learning.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and coordinate SEND provision across the school
* Support staff in identifying and planning for pupils with additional needs
* Maintain and update SEND records, including EHCPs and provision maps
* Liaise with external professionals such as Educational Psychologists and Speech Therapists
* Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
* Provide guidance and CPD to teaching and support staff
* Monitor progress and outcomes for SEND pupils and report to SLT
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Requirements
* National Award for SEN Coordination (or substantial SEN experience)
* Previous experience working as a SENCO or in a similar leadership role
* Excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A nurturing, proactive, and collaborative approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
